A walk along Crosby Street

A walk along Crosby Street

I started to like this quiet street back in 2004, when I discovered the antique and jewelry store, De Vera. It had since become a regular pilgrimage on my part, especially when I need to forge some inspiration for my design work.

Many stores and establishments have opened around the vicinity in the last few years, most notably, Crosby Street Hotel, Saturdays NYC, Miansai and Broken English, to name a few (of my favorites!).

It was a peaceful saunter as I recall, in my attempt to kill time before a scheduled brunch in Little Italy. It's always nice to see the back streets of Soho before the stampede of tourists. I think that the tranquil morning has also influenced my photographs: still, and with uncomplicated symmetry.
