A walk along Passeig de Gràcia
Passeig de Gracia is one of the major avenues in Barcelona and one of its most influential shopping areas, containing several of Catalonia’s most celebrated pieces of Modernisme architecture.
As for the shops, it’s the same global brands that many of us are accustomed to seeing in every major city, but what’s refreshing to see in Barcelona in general is the strong presence of local multi-brand boutiques, like Colmillo de Morsa for women and Nino Alvarez for men, to name a few. They simply bring back the vision in putting a wardrobe together, a sharp contrast to the brand-centric approach to merchandising these days, most especially from big brands.
